The Great Tutorial Contest!…
NOTE: This contest is finished and I will be posting a follow up so you can vote on your favorites. I just got swamped with orders in my Etsy shop, so it will probably not be until Thursday. Thanks for entering!
Welcome! I hope you are excited and brimming with ideas for new tutorials. I have several great prizes lined up, including jewelry, soap, and something from yours truly (once I make up my mind what!). I will be posting later this week with more details.
The rules are:
-must be a new tutorial, created in November (can be sewing, knitting, embroidery, a technique, anything as long as it is crafty)
-you can enter as many as you like.
-leave a comment on this post with a link to your tutorial and permission to post pics of it here.
-US only
The Prizes:
– pearl earings from JED Bridal
– treasure bottle necklace from Memories by Fionchadd
– custom hemp choker from The Hempsphere
– soap and lip butter from Thistledelight Soapworks
– angel necklace from Faccia Felice
– 3 yards fabric or custom scarf from See Mommy Sew…those are just examples
1st Prize is the winner’s choice of 3 items
2nd prize is the winner’s choice of 2 from the remaining items
3rd prize is the remaining item
I would love to have you add the contest button to your blog. Hopefully we can get the word spread and have lots of new and fun things to work on. Because we are all so short of things to do, right! At the end of the month, I will hopefully figure out how to have everyone vote for their favorites to choose the winners. So get working!
NOTE: I still have the code wrong, so you will have to save the picture to a photosite (like photobucket) and get the code yourself. If anyone knows what I did wrong, I would love the help!
Here is the code: <A href=”http://seemommysew.wordpres s.com/2009/11/01/the-great-tutorial-contest/”><IMG src=”http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a70/mom2two2005/tutorialcontestbutto ncopycopy-1-1.jpg” border=”0″ ></A>
I put the contest button on my blog, but I had to do it manually. The code resulted in an empty space with “Photobucket” written in it (which did link to this post)
cool, thanks! I’ll look into getting it fixed! 🙂
I’ll add the code. . . here is my submission.

hmmm….I even got someone to help me with it! Your best bet is probably just to save the picture for now…I’m not sure how I’m going to get that code to work! Anyone? 🙂
Thanks for the invite!

Hi!
I’m a bit late to the party, but I’ve just blogged about a new pattern of mine that’s free to download as a PDf from the sidebar on my blog.
It’s for a simple little knitted patch that can be made into a greeting card. Please take a look.
Thanks!
