Every Christmas, these cookies, really more like candy, are always on our list to make. Growing up, we always made them with Special K cereal and my DH’s family always made them with crisped rice cereal. Either way, they’re really, really good!

Special K Bars

1 c sugar

1 c corn syrup

1 c peanut butter

6 c Special K cereal

1 c chocolate chips

1 c butterscotch chips

 Heat sugar and corn syrup on stove until it boils. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. Mix in cereal. Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together. Spread on cereal bars. Enjoy!
